			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>According to the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors MLS, 13 properties sold in May within the Sun City Summerlin community.  The prices ranged from $100,000-$200,000.  The average sale price per square foot of living area was $105/SF, and the median was $100/SF.  10 of the homes sold with less than 90 days on market.  None of the sales were short sales, but 3 were REO (bank-owned) sales.  </p>
<p>As of today, June 20th, there are 81 listings in Sun City Summerlin (not including contingent or pending status).  That equates to about a 6-month supply of homes in this community.  6 of the listings are short sales, and 11 are bank-owned.  The average list price per square foot is $124/SF, and the median is $118/SF.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>The February preliminary unemployment rate was published yesterday for the Las Vegas metro area at <a href="http://www.nevadaworkforce.com" target="_blank">www.nevadaworkforce.com</a>.  13.9% unemployment for February 2010 surpasses the 13.8% number from January 2010, the highest rate recorded during this recession.  A real housing recovery hinges primarily on this unemployment rate retreating towards normal levels.  See the chart below for the trends over the past 2 years.</p>
